Before colonization attempts began after the Volveros Revolution, the island was known as "The Devil's Right Hand" as it's large rock formations around it made it seem the islands center was the palm, and the rocks formed the fingers. It was supposedly the base to a world renowned pyrate whom the island is named for. Hector Esquieza supposedly hid all his riches beneath the island in many of the underground caves, however all those who have tried to go after it have drowned or never seen again.
