Krizovism is an ancient religion practiced largely in Amicalis. Most denominations of the religion hold the Amicalis Mountains in high regard and consider it a holyland. The religion teaches honor and forgiveness as the most important qualities. At least trying is important in Krizovist society, and failing to try is more dishonorable than failing to accomplish a goal, hence failures are held higher in society than cowards.
Krizovism follows a monotheistic system, and believes that the creator of the universe created humans for a land which most Krizovists identify with Khyorgan, but the humans lived dishonorable lives and were banished from Khyorgan, with every building they built obliterated and every evidence of their existence wiped from the ground as they were banished to Eidyn.
The religion was started in the distant past in Khyorgan by a man named Krizov who claimed to be from a land full of clean blue rivers and tall green mountains in the far west, which most Krizovists identify with Khyorgan, specifically the Amicalis mountains.
The Kingdom of Krizov fell around 3677 AS, and the Krizovists were enslaved under the Empire of the Red Tower. Aurniznia was converted to Krizovism in the 3600s AS, and lost much of it's power in the Aurniz-Red Tower wars before finally collapsing in the 3830s, AS, leaving the Krizovists without a country until the founding of the State of Amicalis.
Krizovist Countries[]
- Kingdom of Krizov - (???-3677 AS), the first Krizovist kingdom ruled by Krizov himself's lineage; It fell to the Empire of the Red Tower (See: Kingdom of Krizov-Red Tower conflict).
- Aurniznia - (3440-3830 AS) Aurniznia converted to Krizovism sometime in the late 3600s, conquests by the Red Tower meant it lacked any power past 3721 OT and finally fell in 3830 AS to barbarian tribes.
- Uardbakkr Nepotocracy - A nomadic empire originating from the north of the Outerlands who were known for carrying vast supplies of melted snow to supplement for a lack of freshwater. The Uardbakkrs traveled to the Amicalis mountains after the defeat of the Empire of the Red Tower.
- State of Amicalis (982 OT-present) - A country founded in the holyland of the Krizovists.
