Furskogur is the mainland of the islandous Brumal, it is 312,209 square miles (808,617 km2) and contains the most settlements. Furskogur contains the headquarters of the Valstanstare union, and as such, chieftains from around Brumal routinely travel there to discuss military and economic action.
Furskogur itself is a tall, cliffed landmass with a massive valley taking up a large portion of the inside. This provides a blockade against the polar easterlies (cold arctic and antarctic winds), and as such, makes the island somewhat warmer than many other islands.
It is covered in pine forests, which can grow in the otherwise uninhabitable 80 degree north land due to geothermal heat. Rivers flow from hotsprings and provide the various flora with water.
