Sovereign is the last surviving Star God. During the destruction of the old universe, he was ripped from his body, and survived as a spectral entity without any real form for aeons. But now after quite some history, is the deity of the Shinobi Empire.

The Star Gods existed like this for longer than he would have thought possible and continued like this until the Moroitos managed to summon his spirit and asked him for guidance. He was happy to oblige if they build him a new body. After he had listed to them his specification of the new body, the Moroitos began to work instantly, but with their limited technology, the body, did not have any of the old physical abilities inherited to his race. Now the Moroitos where happy, thinking they'd be granted their wish for guidance now. Yet they did not know what they asked for, when the Star God went to work. He was the one that encouraged the Moroitos to pursue a life of bliss,lust and arrogance, which eventually would lead to their downfall, during which they realised what Sovereign had done to them, and imprisoned him, in what would later be called the Sovereign Mountain Range. There his body, slowly became covered in rock and dust, until he could no longer move.?
But this should not be the end of his mingling in the affairs of the mortals, many years later, Emperor Izanagi, found the entrance to this prison, and talked to Sovereign, who used his mental and magical powers to convince, Izanagi, to place his people in the mountains and accept his as deity, in return he would grant them, power when ever they needed it. This promise has been known, to have been held until now, as strangley with every new battle, or war, the forces of the Shinobi Empire grow stronger, as if someone or something was manipulating things. This is also the greatest secrete in the Empire, no one but the Emperor, and the so called Reaper-Unit know of this. And the unit only because Sovereign was the reason they were created, from the best Shinobi in the entire Empire, to protect the entrance, and guard the secrete, it has been known and come to the attention of a few people, that those that venture just to close, to certain areas of the past, suddenly and without a trace disappear.
