The Andavronian Velites are light infantry in the SPQA, they are poorly armoured and only have a shortsword and a javelin. When they were first made they were used to harass the enemy and force them to break their lines, but seeing that this rarely worked they were given the purpose of scouts, now they scout the enemy positions before the fight even commences to gain a tactical advantage.
